Exactly as described. A true haven amidst a working farm, yet so peaceful.  We needed a week to unwind and relax and we got just that.  Every morning we drove a short distance to enjoy long walks with the dogs at nearby Broadhaven, Newgale, Newport and Nolton beaches.  Also trekked up to Treffgarne rocks and explored the woodland on site at the farm. Fully secured garden which was a must for us as we could let the dogs out without worry.  We enjoyed watching the squirrels in the garden in the morning.  I would definitely recommend Caban Tawel.

An extremely well equipped, comfortable and clean cabin in a beautiful quiet location.  A wonderful bonus that we were able to bring our 3 dogs!  A really nice place for me to chill out in garden/field with the dogs whilst the rest of the family went off to do an array of water sports.  Nice dog friendly beaches (Nolton Haven the favourite) nearby too.  A very enjoyable week had by all...Sadly it just went by so fast!

I would definitely recommend Caban Tawel.  It was exactly what my husband, myself and our son were looking for, a quiet place to relax with enough outdoor space for our 3 dogs to roam freely and safely.  Everywhere was spotless, but comfortable and inviting and very warm and cosy.  There are some lovely walks around Richard and Elizabeth’s private land which they allow you to use, and we didn’t see a soul.  The location is a short drive away from a few beaches, which we did daily and the beaches were dog friendly as we went in October.  Elizabeth was on hand on the farm if any problems arose, but not at all intrusive.  Herself and her husband are a lovely couple.  We will definitely be returning.  Thanks for a great week.

Had a fantastic time.  The grandchildren and the dog enjoyed playing in the enclosed ground of the cabin.  The cabin itself was clean and comfortable.  We couldn't get over how quiet it was there, the only sounds we heard was birds. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved this place a lovely break away.  Host was so great following our booking.  Place has a secure fence around which was amazing to be able to relax and let the dogs play.  Location great within driving distance to a some beautiful places and lovely walks locally.

What can I say – Caban Tawel should stand for peace and tranquillity!  Elizabeth and Richard made us very welcome and the cabin is immaculate, warm and cosy, has everything you could need.  Location is perfect, within easy reach of all the lovely coastline.  We have had a restful week.  We will be back!

We have had a wonderful stay at the cabin.  The perfect place to centre a family exploration of Pembrokeshire.  Beautiful green woodland walks and idyllic beaches perfect for children and dogs.  The cabin is warm and welcoming, catering for all our needs – a perfect home from home (but much more relaxing!).  Clean, comfortable and ideally located.  Thank you for your hospitality.

We’ve had a great week and absolutely loved staying at the cabin – comfortable, quiet and spacious.  The boys had a great time exploring, and it’s the perfect base to reach all our favourite beaches.  I’m sure that we will be back.

Thank you for the most amazing stay!  We were so impressed with this beautiful log cabin which exceeded all our expectations!  Such a stunning and tranquil setting which met all our needs and more!  A glorious position and the cabin was lovely and clean and very cosy too. We loved the privacy and being left alone so that we could really relax and enjoy.  The dogs thoroughly enjoyed the garden and a massive thank for making it so well fenced in, an absolute must for keeping a Houdini dog!  We and the dogs adored the fantastic woods which we explored with great joy!  The surrounding areas were fab!  Absolutely beautiful.  Especially recommend Pembroke Castle, Broad Haven beach, Barafundle Bay, Freshwater, Solva, Nolton Haven beach, and local pubs and walks.

Thank you for providing somewhere comfortable, clean and with its own area for dogs – plenty of room for them and secure too!  It’s been great to stay somewhere quiet where we can relax but not too far from anywhere and knowing Elizabeth is just up the road if we needed anything.  We could happily have stayed longer.

Thank you for a wonderful week in Caban Tawel.  We’ve walked miles with our 3 collies exploring Pembrokeshire with its amazing coastline, stunning beaches and beautiful countryside.  The weather has been pretty good too!  The cabin offered a homely comfortable retreat after each busy day, and we loved watching the wildlife:- bunnies, buzzards and bats!  We ate several times at the Wolfe Inn, Wolfscastle.  Delicious food, friendly staff and dogs allowed in.

We’ve had a fantastic week.  Wales is beautiful even in the rain!  Cabin lovely and in a beautiful, peaceful setting.  The dog has loved the garden, but both he and the children are exhausted after all the exploring.  Definitely would come back for another visit.

Thankyou for a wonderful week!  The cabin is just lovely – very clean, well equipped and perfectly located.  We were very grateful for the tea, coffee, eggs and milk!  We were blessed with glorious sunshine all week so had lots of fun exploring the area.  Thoroughly recommend a visit to Skomer Island but get there early!!  We enjoyed the walk from the cabin through the woods.  Had chips from Somethings Cooking twice!  Very good.  Folly Farm is great for kids and the beach and lily pad ponds at Bosherston are well worth a visit.  Thanks again for your friendliness & hospitality – we would love to come back.

A lovely, well-appointed and spotlessly clean cabin.  Had many holidays in North Pembs as well as living in Fishguard, so could drive to St David’s or Newport, put on boots and walk.  The scenery is still as beautiful as ever.  Thank you for the coffee, tea, sugar, milk and, especially, the eggs, which made a delicious omelette.  We will recommend you to anyone looking for an escape!

It is the best place in the world.  I wanted to stay, there’s so many places to go that are near.  I loved the bedrooms and it’s so warm in the evenings.  I love the area and we got to stroke the lambs!  Thank you!

My daughter and I received a warm welcome from Mr & Mrs James.  Caban Tawel was immaculate, well equipped and charming.  We enjoyed a lovely week touring the area and very much hope to return to Caban Tawel, a haven of peace and tranquillity, again next year.

This was our first visit to Caban Tawel and we will be back.  It is a splendidly private and peaceful spot but the lovely owners are there if you need them.  The cabin is well laid out, clean, cosy and dry - and good layout and thoughtful touches made it easy to keep it that way despite a couple of days of strong winds and horizontal rain during our stay.  We had everything we needed and when we came back after a day of exploring, the plentiful hot water and excellent showers were a godsend.  We really appreciated the owners eco-friendly approach too.

Outside, the secure garden, wonderful views and lovely woodland walks from the door made this a place where we and our three dogs could relax and unwind.  The cabin is a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire, but it is also a nice place to stay in, and there are plenty of walks from the door if you want to leave the car behind.  After a busy day it was a great place to relax and gaze out at the broad-leafed trees that surround the cabin.  There are some beautiful old oak trees there which I especially love.

Humans and dogs alike had such a relaxing holiday here and we are already planning our next visit.

The cabin was everything we could wish for and more.  And in idyllic surroundings in an ideal spot to access gorgeous quiet countryside and beaches.  The walks around the farm -especially along by the stream were entrancing, and so convenient when dogs needed another short walk.  Very reasonably priced meals were to be had locally when we didn't want to eat in.  The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners completed the package making for one of those special memorable holidays we will always remember.

What a lovely place to stay!!  We are so glad we found it.  A lovely birthday week had by all.  Newgale is a definite favourite for us.  We’ve been to Pembrokeshire before and we will most assuredly be returning again.  Lots of dog-friendly things to do.  Scolton Manor gardens is a little gem & St. David’s Palace was very interesting.  Plenty of walking along stunning peninsula walks, especially St. David’s head.  We hope to return soon.

A fantastic location for everyone.  The garden is great for the dogs and for us as so many amazing birds visit daily.  The cabin was very cosy & was well equipped.  We were exceptionally lucky with the weather so visited some amazing places and did a lot of walking.  Great places for dogs:- Newgale Sands, many local woods and glorious beaches.  Real gems:- Scolton Manor and Freshwater West.  Now we can’t wait to come back.  Thank you very much.

This is our second stay and has been as good as last time!  We have had our own “spring watch” going on and have spotted a kite, robins, jays, bullfinches, gold finches and numerous other finches, a heron flying over.  We so enjoyed the cabin, so peaceful and quiet, and we loved going out and doing stuff each day.  We have "done" a few cottages now and the cabin is by far the cleanest, most well equipped and best thought out one we have used.  So thank you again and we hope to be back next year if you'll have us.

It’s been fantastic to return for our 3^rd visit – we love it here!  So peaceful and tranquil in our own little woodland corner.  We’ve discovered some different places and activities this year as the children are older.  Hangar 5 trampolining centre was great, as was the Blue Lagoon Water Park.  We discovered Broad Haven beach with a tasty tea shop.  Lovely to see how Carmarthen has been redeveloped and is looking great (brings back Uni memories from 20 years ago!) – all worth a visit.  Thank you for the eggs, milk and a beautifully clean and organised cabin.  See you again very soon.

We are returning visitors and as usual found the cabin beautifully clean and cosy.  We love the setting and the views.  As last time the highlight of our holiday was a visit to Skomer.  However we have also enjoyed some lovely walks, picnics and visits to gardens.

Our first visit has been fabulous.  Totally loved the peace and quiet and watching the birds and bats – spotted fly catcher, kites, jay, magpies, robin, wren.  We have found the location great for exploring everywhere – really central.  The kitchen is so well stocked.  Lovely enclosed area has meant our dogs have chilled safely.  Broad Haven and Little Haven great for the beach, St. Davids lovely, Narberth for fab retail therapy.  Lovely meal at the Mill and Corner Piece (homely, simple and nice welcome).  Thank you for having us!

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable.  Great location for many of the lovely attractions that Pembrokeshire has to offer.  We enjoyed every day and particularly a lovely drive through the Preseli Hills, the Llys-y-Fran Country Park and, of course, the wonderful St. Davids Cathedral.  We would love to come again, thank you.

We loved the cabin with comfortable beds and sofa’s. A great view from the veranda. We went to and loved, Folly Farm, Whitesands, Carew Castle, Oakwood, Dinosaur Park, and the Blue Lagoon. As we come from Ireland, the weather was wonderful! I loved it and can’t wait to come back next year!

Thank you very much for such a lovely stay in a beautiful cabin in a lovely location. It was fantastic to get away from it all…literally! The cabin is in the middle of nowhere and a couple of nights I spent sat out on the balcony just chilling out and refuelling after busy days at the beach and going to castles. The cabin was very quickly “home” and I have loved every second. Once again I would like to say thank you for an amazing week.

What a fabulous place – tranquil, peaceful and beautiful. A perfect base for exploring in and around Pembrokeshire. And even further afield! The cabin is all you could ever wish for and would quite happily live here forever! The boys have had the best fun body boarding and carting at Carew was a real adrenaline rush for them too! The only downside of this holiday is that we have to go home all too soon!
